Arizona has traditionally been a more progressive state when it comes to gambling, and it’s considered legalizing online gambling to some extent over the last several years. However, no legislation has been brought forward yet to legalize Arizona online casinos, and any movement on that front seems quite a long way off.

If you’re from AZ and you’ve got questions about how to enjoy Arizona online gambling entertainment in a stress-free and legal way, then this guide is for you. We provide you with access to the best online casinos serving AZ residents aged 18 and up, and we discuss the legal aspects thereof along with the banking and gameplay options available to you.

Sloto Cash has been established since 2007. They provide their players with some of the best games that are powered by Real Time Gaming. Players from most countries are accepted except for Moldova and Israel. Considered the best casino online, they offer a wide selection of the best video slots, virtual games, table games, and video poker games. As of 2020, the only parts of the US where internet casinos are legal are Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Casino Arizona™ is your home for the hottest gaming action around Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona. We offer more than 900 slot machines, including many high-limit slots, plus live Blackjack and other table games and live fast-action Keno.

Are Online Casinos Legal In Arizona?

Online casinos that are based outside of the United States are 100% legal to use in the state of Arizona per its own gambling laws. United States online gambling laws similarly do not prevent you from playing real-money online casino games.

As long as the site you choose is licensed, regulated, and has a solid reputation among its online users, you can legally and safely sign up and play today.

To learn more about what AZ state laws have to say about Internet-based gambling, please check out our page on Arizona online gambling laws.

What Online Casino Games Can I Play At Legal Arizona Gambling Sites?

The AZ online casinos that are legally accessible online offer a host of different casino games, from all-time classics to modern titles sure to scratch even a Grand Canyon-sized betting itch. The games included run the gamut, with the most popular options listed below:

  • 3-Reel Slots
  • 5-Reel Slots
  • 3D Slots
  • Progressive Slots
  • Blackjack
  • Roulette
  • Baccarat
  • Super 6
  • Video Poker
  • Keno
  • Bingo
  • Lotteries
  • Scratch-Offs
  • Pull Tabs
  • Live Dealer Games
  • + More!

Best of all, you can play these games right in any web browser, which means that you don’t have to download any casino software or update any apps. Just log in, find a table, and play!

Each title uses certified RNG games made by the world’s most respected iGaming software companies, and third-party watchdogs regularly audit these titles for compliance.

This ensures that your chances to win are the same (or better!) than they are if you were to hoof it across the desert to play at the best brick-and-mortar casinos in Sin City.

Between online slots, online blackjack, online video poker, real-dealer table games, and more, you’ll have over 250-300 different casino games to choose from anytime you wish to play.

Can I Play Online Casino Games For Free In AZ?

You absolutely can! All of these sites’ hundreds of RNG casino games are available in either real-money or free-play formats (which are usually labeled as “demo” or “practice” modes at the various top online casinos).

The free play option helps you get to know the interfaces and rules for each game before having to actually risk real money, and there’s no time limit for how long you can play casino games for free at these sites.

We always recommend that new players – or players learning a new game – cut their eyeteeth by cutting the deck for free before playing for keeps.

Are There Online Casino Bonuses For AZ Players?

All premium AZ online casinos deliver attractive new player signup bonuses and account reload bonuses. Most often, such bonuses come in the form of deposit matches, which means the casino agrees to kick in a certain percentage of your deposit up to a designated maximum amount (which can be in the several thousands of dollars).

You will also find referral bonuses and special promos like seasonal or event-specific online casino no-deposit bonus options that let you play with a “free chip” worth $25-50 before you even deposit a dime.

All bonuses carry wagering terms and conditions, called rollover or playthrough requirements, and these must be met before you can withdraw any funds associated with your selected bonus. Fortunately, these sites set their rollover rates at easy-to-meet thresholds, and though bonuses are optional, we recommend accepting them whenever possible.

If you choose to deposit using Bitcoin, you can get enhanced Bitcoin gambling bonuses that add even more free money to your bankroll. Usually, you can get these enhanced bonuses by making a deposit using any cryptocurrency supported by your site of choice.

What Are The Banking Options at AZ Online Casinos?

The banking options available to AZ online gamblers vary from brand to brand, but all of our recommended destinations have multiple US-friendly banking methods to choose from. These include (but are not limited) to the following:

  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Altcoins (Litecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Stellar, Ripple, etc.)
  • Zelle-To-BTC
  • QB Direct
  • Casino Vouchers (aka Player Transfers)
  • Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Debit Cards
  • International Visa Gift Cards
  • Bank Wires
  • Cashier’s Checks
  • Money Orders

The withdrawal methods at any given online casino are usually more limited that their deposit methods, and Bitcoin/altcoins are the only withdrawal options that support same-day payouts and come with no added fees.

You can also request withdrawals via courier check, bank wire, and money order, though these come with wait times of 2-5 days and have associated transfer charges to be aware of. Still, all methods are reliable and 100% guaranteed.

Can I Play Real Money Casino Games From My Mobile Phone?

Yes, you are able to access your account information and place any bets you want right from your mobile device. There is nothing to download or update, as these online casino apps are technically web apps that function right inside your mobile web browser.

These sites are responsively designed to ensure a pixel-perfect experience regardless of the make, model, or screen size of your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. You can play online casino games for real money on your smartphone or tablet, as well as participate in Arizona online bingo and AZ online sports betting.

Will Arizona Move To Legalize Online Casinos Anytime Soon?

Unfortunately, this is very unlikely to happen in the near-term future. Most states are embracing the legalization of online sports betting, which is something that AZ is actively considering. But online casino gaming is a different (and much more socially complex) matter. Legislators are very wary to legalize iGaming.

That said, once the state allows domestic sports betting options, it will become more likely that AZ lawmakers will move to legalize full casino gambling online in a domestic capacity. In most states, this has been the order in which the industry has been addressed.

Arizona ‘s Views on Casino Gambling From The Beginning

At one point, Arizona was a gritty frontier state that had everything you might expect in a classic western movie. This is where its origins in gambling began.

However, AZ moved through decades of new legislation and grew more conservative over the years while it watched its neighbor, Nevada, start to benefit heavily from commercial casinos. It became obvious what the state had, and AZ subsequently offered a selection of federally recognized Indian tribes the ability to open up casinos on their reservations once that became legal.

Today, tourism is a crucial part of the economy in AZ, with over 20 tribal casinos located in the state that generate over $100 million per year in gambling tax revenue.

Arizona Brick-And-Mortar Casinos

The following is a selection of some of the most popular land-based Class II and Class III tribal casinos in the Grand Canyon State.

26 Arizona Casinos owned by 16 Tribes

Arizona has 26 Indian casinos owned by 16 tribes. Total annual gaming revenue from these casinos is estimated at $2 billion, which ranks Arizona as the fifth largest Indian gaming state.

Arizona Indian gaming is represented by the Arizona Indian Gaming Association (AIGA) which was established by Arizona tribal leaders on November 21, 1994.

2021 Sports Betting Hopes in Arizona

January 15, 2021

Sports betting legislation has been debated in Arizona over the last few years. It is supported by Native American tribes and many state legislators. With the dwindling tax revenues and the loss of casino earnings caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, this year may be the best opportunity to pass sports betting legislation.

The 16 Arizona tribes which operate 26 casinos will form the foundation for the bill. The state and tribes must first negotiate a tax rate for sportsbooks and decide whether to include online betting. When those issues are defined, the legislature is expected to introduce a bill for serious consideration and action.

Like our sister tribes and businesses all over Arizona, we have tried to do what is best for all, while processing new information and new guidelines about the pandemic with little in the way of definitive guidance.'

Arizona Bill Would Legalize Sports Betting at Indian Casinos

January 24, 2019

Arizona is the first state to consider legalizing sports betting at only Indian casinos. A new State Senate Bill 1158 has been introduced that includes this paragraph:

'Each federally recognized Indian tribe that has a tribal-state gaming compact entered into pursuant to Chapter 6 of this title and that has tribal headquarters on Indian lands located in this state may operate sports betting as defined in Section 13-3301. No other person or entity may operate sports betting.'

Arizona Indian tribes have existing gaming compacts with the state that give them the exclusive right to offer gaming in Arizona. In exchange the state receives a percentage of the gaming revenue from each Indian casino.

If the state were to legalize sports betting at commercial venues, it would break the terms of the gaming compacts and result in a major loss of tax income currently paid by the tribes.

SB 1158 has been referred to the Senate Rules Committee for review.
